Men’s Retreat – October 20 – 22

Our annual fall men’s retreat is having a change of location this year: we are renting the Applegate Inn at Barnabas Family Ministries located on Keats Island, BC. If you’re a returning registrant and are thinking that you’ll lose out on the incredible view from our last location, think again! The header photo above is the view from Barnabas!

Barnabas is well known for it’s beauty and also incredible hospitality and food. The Applegate Inn will be an exclusive rental just for this men’s retreat and there are just 11 spaces available.

Together with Steve Klassen leading you, this men’s retreat will include:

  • sessions together as men with Steve leading and facilitating
  • periods of silence for reflection and refreshment, with the beauty of creation surrounding you
  • delicious meals and snacks
  • opportunity to explore the grounds and island during free time

This men's retreat was very timely. I had been coasting along very aimlessly, was discouraged by church and was not only keeping people at arms distance but also God thinking, “my time is over” and “I don’t want to make the effort and be disappointed and hurt again.” Hearing God speak to me personally during this retreat was refreshing and restorative.

Retreat Cost & Details

The cost of this retreat is $350, taxes included. This is non-refundable. This cost includes the following:

  • 2 nights shared accommodation at the Applegate Inn at Barnabas
  • Gourmet meals (it’s no secret that the food at Barnabas is incredible!!!) and snacks for the duration of your stay
  • Transport to and from the Langdale ferry terminal to Barnabas
  • Retreat facilitation provided by Steve Klassen
  • materials needed for the retreat

Each participant is responsible for catching the ferry from Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal to Langdale (the Sunshine Coast), which has a one-time cost of $16.15 for a return trip. Please plan to catch the 3:30pm ferry which will put you in at Langdale at 4:10pm. For the return trip, the group will be catching the 4:30pm ferry back to Horseshoe Bay.
